Virtues & Benefits
This beautiful dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, encapsulates a holistic request that aids in finding clarity and patience. Seeking 'beneficial knowledge' ( 'ilman nafi'an) helps us understand situations correctly and make informed decisions. 'Good and pure sustenance' ( rizqan tayyiban) ensures that our provision is halal and doesn't burden us with sin or worry, allowing for a clearer mind. Finally, asking for 'acceptable deeds' ( 'amalan mutaqabbalan) means seeking Allah's acceptance of our efforts, which fosters humility and a focus on sincerity, essential for receiving true guidance. By asking for these three things, we equip ourselves with the inner and outer resources needed to navigate life's complexities with sabr and insight.
