When to Read
This powerful dua is recited in the morning, after Fajr prayer, as part of the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ supplications. It's a beautiful way to start your day, seeking Allah's blessings for knowledge that benefits, sustenance that is pure, and actions that are pleasing to Him.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a humble heart. Focus on the meaning of each request: the desire for knowledge that truly helps you understand and practice your faith, provision that is lawful and good, and actions that are accepted by Allah, which means they are done with the correct intention and in accordance with His commands.
Virtues & Benefits
By asking for beneficial knowledge, we seek understanding that guides us and strengthens our faith. Asking for goodly provision reminds us of Allah's role as the Sustainer and encourages us to seek only what is lawful. The most crucial part is asking for 'Amalan Mutaqabbalan' – accepted deeds. This means our prayers, our charity, our remembrance, and all our good works are weighed favorably by Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would make this dua every morning, indicating its immense importance in seeking Allah's pleasure and ensuring our efforts are not in vain.
