Narrated by Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever says: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem) three times every morning, will not be stricken by any sudden calamity until the evening. And whoever says it three times in the evening, will not be stricken by any calamity until the morning." (Sahih al-Bukhari 6306, Sahih Muslim 2708)
