O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept secret in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sorrow, and the remover of my anxieties.
Allahumma inni 'abdika, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatik, nasiyatii biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitifika, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm-il-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jalaa'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.

Narrated by Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "No person ever suffered any anxiety or grief, but was granted relief through this supplication: 'O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept secret in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sorrow, and the remover of my anxieties.' Someone said to him, 'These words should be learned by heart.' He replied, 'Yes, they should be learned by heart by everyone who hears them.'" (Musnad Ahmad 18801, narrated by Ibn Mas'ud)
