Dua for Overcoming the Fear of Being Alone Forever

Loneliness & Isolation
Sahih HadithSahih al-Bukhari 5901

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.

Narrated Abu Bakr: I said to the Prophet (ﷺ), 'Teach me something that I should say in the morning and in the evening.' He said, 'O Abu Bakr! Say: Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman kathiran, wa la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa anta, faghfirli maghfiratan min 'indika, warhamni innaka antal-Ghafurur-Rahim. (O Allah! I have wronged myself extensively, and none can forgive sins except You; so forgive me with forgiveness from You, and have mercy upon me. Verily, You are the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful). I said, 'Teach me something that I should say in the morning and in the evening.' He said, 'Say: Allahumma 'alimal-ghaybi wa shahadati, fatira-samawati wal-ardi, Rabba kulli shay'in wa malikahu, ash-hadu an la ilaha illa anta. A'udhu bika min sharri nafsi wa min shaitani wa shirkih. (O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord of everything and its Owner, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself and from Satan and his polytheism.)' I said, 'Teach me something that I should say in the morning and in the evening.' He said, 'Say: Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal. (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.)' And these supplications are for the morning and the evening.'
