Dua for Comfort When Feeling Left Out

Loneliness & Isolation
Hasan HadithSunan Abi Dawud 1554

O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgment on me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself by, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sorrow, and the reliever of my anxiety.

Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatika, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitabiika, aw 'istatharta bihi fi 'ilmil-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabia qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.

Source & Authentication

A man said to the Prophet (ﷺ): O Messenger of Allah, one of us feels some sadness in his heart. He said: It is the sadness of the believer. He said: What is the sign of that? He said: Whoever is pleased with a good deed and feels remorse for a bad deed, that is the sign of the believer. He said: O Messenger of Allah, how do I say it? He said: Say: O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant.
