Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'When a person leaves his house and says: Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah. There is no might nor power except with Allah), it is said to him: "You have been guided, you have been sufficed, and you have been protected." So the devil keeps away from him.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095). It is also narrated in Sahih Muslim (134) with a slight variation, emphasizing the guidance, sufficiency, and protection granted.
