اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik
When to Read
This dua is recited specifically when leaving the masjid. It’s a moment to carry the blessings and spiritual connection of the prayer space with us into our daily lives. As we step out, we acknowledge that all good comes from Allah, and we ask Him to continue showering us with His grace, which includes the guidance and light of the Quran.
How to Read
Recite this dua once after completing your prayer and intending to leave the masjid. It's ideally said as you are stepping out of the masjid or just upon exiting. It's a personal supplication, so say it with sincerity and a hopeful heart, recognizing Allah's immense generosity.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us specific duas for entering and exiting the masjid to maximize the barakah (blessings) of these sacred places. By asking Allah for His bounty upon leaving, we are essentially asking Him to bestow upon us the fruits of our worship – the inner peace, the understanding of His word, and the strength to live by the Quran’s teachings throughout our day. It's a beautiful reminder that our connection to Allah and His guidance doesn't end when we leave the mosque.

Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When anyone of you finishes his prayer in my mosque, let him not leave until he supplicates with this dua: Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.' (Sahih Muslim 713)
