Leaving Masjid
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 1300

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ.

O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.

Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.

When to Read

This dua is recited specifically when leaving the Masjid after prayer. It's a moment to transition from the spiritual atmosphere of the mosque back into daily life, asking Allah to bless our endeavors and keep us sustained by His grace.

How to Read

Recite this dua after you have finished your prayer and are preparing to exit the Masjid. It is recommended to exit with the left foot first, just as we enter with the right. This simple yet profound supplication is uttered with sincerity and a humble heart, recognizing that all provision and success comes from Allah.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua is a powerful reminder that even as we leave the house of Allah, we are still in need of His continuous blessings and support in our worldly affairs. By asking 'from Your bounty,' we acknowledge that any success or provision we receive is a gift from Allah. It keeps us connected to His mercy as we re-engage with the dunya, reminding us to seek lawful sustenance and use it in ways that please Him. This practice instills humility and a constant reliance on Allah, even outside the confines of the Masjid.
