بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي، وَافْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ فَضْلِكَ.

In the name of Allah, and may the prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive my sins, and open to me the doors of Your grace.

Bismillahi, was-salatu was-salamu 'ala Rasulillah. Allahumma-ghfir li dhunubi, waftah li abwaba fadlik.

When to Read

This beautiful dua is recited immediately after exiting the Masjid. It's a perfect moment to carry the sanctity of the mosque with you as you re-enter the world, asking Allah to purify your intentions and open new avenues of His mercy and provision.

How to Read

As you step out of the masjid, place your right foot out first. Recite this dua with sincerity and contemplation, reflecting on your time spent in Allah's house and your hopes for His blessings outside of it. It's recommended to say the bismillah and salutations to the Prophet ﷺ first.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you enters his mosque, let him say: Bismillahi was-salatu was-salamu 'ala Rasulillah. Allahumma-ftah li abwaba rahmatik. And when he leaves, let him say: Bismillahi was-salatu was-salamu 'ala Rasulillah. Allahumma-ghfir li dhunubi, waftah li abwaba fadlik.'
