Leaving Masjid
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 713

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.

Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik

When to Read

This beautiful supplication is recommended when leaving the Masjid after prayer or any visit. It's a moment to carry the blessings and guidance received within the sacred space out into the world.

How to Read

Recite this dua after you have completed your prayer and are preparing to exit the Masjid. It's traditionally recited after the left foot exits the Masjid. It's a personal request to Allah for His grace and provision as you re-enter your daily life, aiming to uphold the principles learned.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua embodies a profound reliance on Allah's generosity. By asking for His bounty, we acknowledge that all provision comes from Him. It reflects the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who taught us to seek Allah's grace not just within the Masjid but also as we step back into the world, carrying the spiritual nourishment we've gained. It's about asking Allah to bless our efforts and guide us to act in ways that please Him, serving as a silent witness to the truth we've been reminded of.

Source & Authentication

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "When anyone among you finishes his prayer, he should say after turning his feet from his position: 'O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.' For he who asks for the bounty of Allah during the day or night, Allah grants it to him."
