Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When anyone of you finishes his prayer in his mosque, he should not sit down until he has offered his supplication. And when he leaves, he should offer his supplication. And when he enters his house, he should offer his supplication." He (Ibn Abbas) said: I went with Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) to the mosque and he prayed, and then sat down. I said: "O Abu Abdur Rahman, did you not hear what Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said?" He said: "Yes, but I heard him say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik' (O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty) when leaving." (This refers to the dua for leaving the mosque).
