Virtues & Benefits
This supplication embodies a beautiful aspect of Islamic practice: connecting our worldly pursuits with our faith. By asking Allah for His bounty upon leaving His house, we are essentially seeking His blessing and guidance in our efforts to earn a lawful living. It reminds us that even in business, our ultimate success and provision are in Allah's hands. This mindset fosters reliance on Allah (tawakkul) and encourages ethical conduct, knowing that Allah is the source of all good.

It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'When one of you leaves the Masjid, let him say: Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik (O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty). For indeed, the night and day are one; what is in them is for whom is pleased.' (Sahih Muslim 1389). Another narration states that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say this upon leaving the Masjid.
