اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
O Allah, I ask of Your bounty.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik
When to Read
This dua is recited when leaving the Masjid after prayer or any visit. It's a moment where we transition back into the world, and it's a perfect opportunity to ask Allah for His continuous favor and protection, especially from the subtle diseases of the heart like arrogance.
How to Read
Recite this sincerely, with the understanding that all good comes from Allah. It's typically recited once, after completing your prayers or activities within the Masjid, as you are about to exit.
Virtues & Benefits
Leaving the Masjid is a transition point. While we've been in a blessed place, the outside world presents its own tests. Asking Allah for His bounty reminds us that our success and well-being are entirely dependent on Him. This humble request also serves as a shield against arrogance; by acknowledging our need for Allah's favor, we're admitting we can't achieve anything significant on our own. This fosters humility and dependence on our Creator.

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'When one of you finishes his prayer in his mosque, let him say when he turns to leave: O Allah, I ask of Your bounty.' And he (Jabir) said: 'This was after the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions did this.'
