O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik
When to Read
When you are leaving the mosque, after you have finished your prayers and other acts of worship, and are about to step out. The sunnah is to step out with your left foot first.
How to Read
Before reciting this specific dua, it is a sunnah to send blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. You can say 'Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa sallim' (O Allah, send prayers and peace upon Muhammad) or a similar form of salawat. Then, recite 'Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik' with a sincere heart, understanding that you are asking Allah for His immense bounty as you step back into the worldly affairs.
Virtues & Benefits
Leaving the masjid, we transition from a place dedicated purely to Allah's worship back into our daily lives. Reciting this dua is a powerful way to seek Allah's help and provision for whatever lies ahead. When we ask Allah for His **bounty (fadl)**, we are asking for all forms of goodness: spiritual guidance to stay on the straight path, sustenance (rizq) in lawful ways, success in our endeavors, protection from evil, and indeed, all the blessings of this world and the Hereafter. It's an acknowledgment that all goodness comes from Him, and a recognition that our reliance is solely on Him as we re-engage with the world.

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: "When any one of you enters the mosque, he should invoke blessings upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and then say: 'Allahummaf-tah li abwaba rahmatik (O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy).' And when he leaves, he should invoke blessings upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and then say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik (O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty).'" — Sahih Muslim 713
