اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ.
O Allah, I ask of Your bounty.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.
When to Read
This dua is recited when exiting the masjid. It's a beautiful moment to pause and acknowledge that while we've been in the House of Allah, our needs and aspirations extend beyond its walls. We're returning to our lives, families, and responsibilities, and it's in those very contexts that we seek Allah's continuous blessings and provision.
How to Read
Upon exiting the masjid, after completing your prayers or other acts of worship, turn your left foot forward first as a sign of leaving. Raise your hands slightly, as you would when making dua, and recite this supplication with sincerity. The key is to connect with the meaning: acknowledging that all good comes from Allah and asking Him to open the doors of His immense favor for you in your daily life.
Virtues & Benefits
This simple yet profound dua encapsulates our reliance on Allah for all things. It's not just about asking for material provision, but for the 'fadl' – the immense grace, favor, and bounty of Allah that encompasses every aspect of our existence. By asking for His bounty upon leaving the masjid, we are essentially asking Allah to accompany us out of His House and into our lives, showering us with His blessings in our endeavors and relationships, thereby fostering true companionship with Him throughout our day.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: ‘When anyone among you enters the mosque, he should offer the prayer and then sit, and should not move from his place of sitting until he has spoken about the need of his own person. Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, has ordained in the breast of every man that which he needs. And when anyone among you departs from the mosque, he should depart with his left foot first, and when he departs from it he should say: O Allah, grant me benefit from Thy bounty. And when he departs from the market, he should depart with his right foot first, and when he departs from it he should say: O Allah, grant me benefit from Thy bounty and make my trade a place of rest and abundance. And when he departs from his home, he should depart with his right foot first, and when he departs from it he should say: O Allah, make my home a place of rest and abundance.’
