اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
O Allah, I ask of Your bounty.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik
When to Read
This dua is specifically recited when leaving the Masjid after completing prayer or other acts of worship. It's an opportune moment to seek Allah's grace and provision as we re-enter the world.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity after stepping out of the Masjid. It is recommended to recite the dua for entering the Masjid before entering, and this dua upon exiting. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us the etiquette of entering and exiting places of worship, and this dua is a part of that beautiful Sunnah.
Virtues & Benefits
By asking for Allah's bounty upon leaving the Masjid, we are essentially seeking His continued blessings and provision as we go about our daily lives. It's a beautiful reminder that even outside the Masjid, Allah's grace is available to us. This connects our worship in the Masjid to our dealings in the world, asking Allah to make our efforts fruitful and to provide for us in ways we may not even anticipate. It fosters a sense of reliance on Allah for all our needs, both spiritual and worldly.

Narrated by Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) returned from Al-Futuḥ (the conquest of Makkah), he dismounted at Al-Jarana and ordered that a tent be pitched for him. While he was in the tent, ‘Ali bin Abi Talib came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, you have missed the prayer. He said: I have missed the prayer. So he (Ibn ‘Umar) said: I saw him (the Prophet ﷺ) after that when he was on his she-camel, and he recited: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.'
