Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'When anyone of you finishes his prayer, he should say: Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik (O Allah, I ask of Your bounty), for indeed there is no bestower of bounty except Allah.' [Sahih Muslim 1385]. While this hadith is often associated with supplication after prayer, the act of leaving the masjid is a continuation of our connection with Allah. Therefore, carrying this spirit of seeking His bounty as we depart, especially with the intention of facing life's tests with patience, is a beautiful application of its spirit.
