Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'If one of you goes out to pray, let him not return until he has performed the prayer.' He said: 'And when he enters the Masjid, he enters with his right foot, and when he leaves, he leaves with his left foot.' He also said: 'The Masjid is the place where the servant of Allah supplicates to his Lord, and it is one of the places that are most pleasing to Allah. So when you enter the Masjid, supplicate to Allah, and when you leave, supplicate to Allah.' (The narrator) Ibn Nu'aym said: 'And when he leaves, he supplicates to Allah by saying: "Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik"'.
