Leaving Masjid
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 1374

إِذَا خَرَجَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَسْجِدِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

When any one of you leaves his Masjid, let him say: O Allah, I ask of You from Your grace.

Idha kharaja ahadukum min masjidihi falyqul: Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik

When to Read

This beautiful dua is recited immediately after exiting the Masjid, as you are stepping out, symbolizing your transition from a place of worship back into your daily life. It's an intentional act to carry the blessings of the Masjid with you.

How to Read

Say this supplication sincerely with the intention of seeking Allah's bounty. As you exit, turn your right foot out first, if possible, and recite this dua. It's a moment to reflect on the transition and to ask for Allah's continued favor.

Virtues & Benefits

This simple yet profound dua encapsulates a request for Allah's unlimited bounty. By asking 'from Your grace,' you're acknowledging that all good things come from Him, and you are open to receiving them in whatever form He wills, whether it's provision, knowledge, guidance, or anything else beneficial in this life and the next. It aligns your intentions with seeking halal sustenance and righteous deeds upon leaving Allah's house. The emphasis on 'fadl' (grace/bounty) is key – it's not just asking for a specific thing, but for a continuous stream of Allah's favor.
