Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 713

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

O Allah, I ask You from Your grace.

Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik

When to Read

This dua is recited as you are leaving the Masjid, after completing your prayer or other acts of worship. It's a beautiful way to carry the blessings of Allah's house with you into the outside world and to express your reliance on His bounty.

How to Read

Recite this dua softly as you take your steps out of the Masjid, ideally after completing your prayers and any personal supplications within the Masjid. Focus on the meaning of seeking Allah's abundant grace and provision in all aspects of your life as you re-enter the community and your daily activities.

Virtues & Benefits

This simple yet profound dua connects seeking Allah's grace with leaving His house of worship. It reminds us that our return to daily life is not independent of Allah's blessings. By asking for His grace, we are essentially asking for His continued support, guidance, and provision in all our endeavors outside the Masjid, hoping that our worldly pursuits also become a source of reward.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When any one of you finishes his prayer in his Masjid, let him say, as he is leaving: Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.'
