Virtues & Benefits
When you ask Allah for His grace upon leaving the Masjid, you are essentially seeking His continued blessings and provision throughout your day. It acknowledges that all good comes from Him, and you are relying on Him even after leaving the place of worship. This act keeps you connected to Allah, seeking His guidance and success in navigating the world outside the Masjid. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself is reported to have said: 'When one of you finishes prayer in his mosque, let him say after finishing his prayer, before he speaks to anyone: 'O Allah, I ask of You of Your Grace.' (Sahih Muslim 713). This emphasizes the importance of seeking Allah's bounty even after fulfilling religious duties.
