Virtues & Benefits
Reciting this dua is a profound act of tawakkul, entrusting your affairs to Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promised a significant reward for those who say it: it is said to be sufficient for you, meaning Allah will protect you from harm, guide you, and suffice you in your needs for that journey. This includes protection from unseen evils and the challenges you might face. It's a powerful way to start your day, bringing barakah (blessing) and divine protection.

Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When a person leaves his house and says: 'Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah. And there is no power nor strength except with Allah), it will be said to him: 'You have been sufficed, defended and guided.' So the devil will stay away from him. And one of the devils will say to another devil: 'How can you get to a man whom Allah has sufficed, defended and guided?'"
