Virtues & Benefits

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that when a servant says this dua upon leaving their home, it is said to them: 'You are guided, defended, and protected.' The devil (Shaitan) turns away from them, and another devil says to him: 'How can you deal with a person who has been guided, defended, and is protected?' This dua instills peace, confidence, and divine protection, which are invaluable when facing the emotional and physical demands of caring for a parent.
