بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
In the Name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah; there is no might or power except with Allah.
Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
When to Read
Recite this dua immediately as you step out of your home, after closing the door. It is meant to be said the moment you transition from the safety of your home to the outside world, whether you are going to work, school, the market, or just for a walk, alone or with others.
How to Read
Recite with a sincere heart, understanding its profound meaning. Reflect on placing your trust entirely in Allah (tawakkul), acknowledging that all strength and power come only from Him. This isn't just a verbal utterance, but an invocation of complete reliance and a declaration of His sovereignty over all things.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet ﷺ informed us that whoever recites this dua, it will be said to him: 'You have been sufficed, you have been protected, and you have been guided.' Moreover, the Shaytan will turn away from him. This means Allah grants you sufficiency in all your affairs, protects you from harm, evil, and worldly dangers, and guides you to the right path in your day. It also acts as a shield against the whispers and plots of Shaytan.
