Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'I leave you in the trust of Allah, than whom none can keep things in trust.' (Sunan Ibn Majah 2825). Another narration: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'If anyone says when he goes out of his house: 'Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it will be said to him: 'You are guided, defended and your need is met.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095). This other hadith, while not directly about leaving family, emphasizes the general protection one receives when leaving home with reliance on Allah.
