Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
When to Read
This powerful dua is recited specifically when you are about to leave your home. It's the very first step you take when stepping out, after closing the door behind you.
How to Read
Recite this sincerely with full conviction in Allah's protection. It's a declaration of your reliance on Him as you embark on your journey. The act of saying it connects your heart to Allah before you face the world outside.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promised a beautiful reward for reciting this. It is said that when a person says this dua upon leaving their home, they are told: 'You are guided, defended, and protected.' Satan will then move away from them, and another devil will say to him, 'What can you do with a man who has been guided, defended, and is protected?' This ensures your safety from many unseen evils and physical harm.
