Dua for a Blessed Return Home After Absence

Leaving Home
Sahih HadithSahih al-Bukhari 6137

We are returning, repenting, to our Lord, praising Him. Allah has fulfilled His promise, helped His servant, and defeated the confederates alone.

Āyibūna tā'ibūna lirabbinā ḥāmidūna, ṣadaqa Allāhu waʿdahu, wa naṣara ʿabdahu, wa hazama al-aḥzāba waḥdahu.

Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) returned from a campaign or the Hajj, the slogan of praise would be chanted when he mounted his she-camel: 'Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Translation: 'Allah is the Greatest! Allah is the Greatest! Allah is the Greatest! There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Able to do all things. We are returning, repenting, worshipping, praising our Lord. Allah has fulfilled His promise, helped His servant, and defeated the confederates alone.'
