The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'When one of you says: 'Alhamdulillah alladhi bi ni'matihi tatimmus-salihât' (All praise is for Allah, by Whose grace good deeds are completed), Allah says: 'You have spoken the truth.' When one of you says: 'Alhamdulillah hamdan kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fih' (Praise be to Allah with abundant, good, blessed praise), the angels say: 'We do not know how to write it down.' He said: 'And one of you should say it.'' [Reported by Al-Bukhari in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 968 - Sahih. Also reported by Baihaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman 4/30 - Hasan]
