Source & Authentication

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever is given something, let him say: Alhamdulillah alladhee hadana lihatha wama kunna linahtadiya lawla an hadana Allah. (All praise is for Allah, who has guided us to this, and we could not have been guided had Allah not guided us). And whoever is asked about something, let him say: Allahu 'alimu wa la adri (Allah knows best, and I do not know). And whoever releases himself from his vow, let him say: Subhanaka wallah taqarradtu (Glory be to You, and by You I have vowed).' — Sahih Muslim 1104
