Dua for Gratitude for the Gift of Patience in Trials

Gratitude
Hasan HadithAl-Mu'jam al-Kabeer 12963

O Allah, I ask You for patience in the face of destiny, and a blessing in times of ease, and fear of sins before the punishment descends, and contentment with what You have decreed for me, and satisfaction with what You have provided for me, and detachment from what has passed, and love for those who come to me, and gratitude for what You have bestowed upon me and my soul, and strength through Your remembrance, and longing to meet You. And help me in remembering You, and thanking You, and worshipping You in the best manner.

Allahumma inni as'aluka sabran 'alal-qadaa', wa barakatan fir-rakhaa', wa khawfan minadh-dhunoobi qabla nuzoolil-'adhaab, wa ridan bima qusima lee, wa qana'atan bima ruziqtu, wa zuhdan feema faat, wa hubban liman aatanee, wa shukran feema an'amta 'alayya, wa fee nafsee, wa taqawwaa bidh-dhikrikh, wa shawqan ila liqaa'ikh, wa a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibaadatik.
