اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatika
When to Read
This is a foundational dua that can be recited at any time, but it's particularly potent after completing acts of worship, or at the start of your day. It's a perfect way to acknowledge that all strength and ability to follow the Sunnah comes from Allah, fostering true gratitude for the guidance He has given us through the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
How to Read
This dua is generally recited after the obligatory prayers (Salah), as taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself. Raise your hands gently as you make this supplication, with sincerity and a present heart, focusing on the meaning of the words and the immense blessing of the Prophet's ﷺ teachings.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua is a comprehensive request for assistance in the core elements of our faith: remembering Allah (dhikr), thanking Him (shukr), and worshipping Him beautifully (husn 'ibadah). By asking for help in these areas, we acknowledge that following the Sunnah, which is a manifestation of dhikr and shukr, is a gift. It cultivates a mindset where we see the Prophet's ﷺ way not as a burden, but as a divinely-guided path that perfects our worship and strengthens our connection with our Creator.

Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took hold of my hand and said: 'O Mu'adh, by Allah I love you, and I advise you, O Mu'adh, do not miss saying every day after every prayer: O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.'
