O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, to shun evil deeds, and to love the poor. I ask You to forgive me and have mercy on me. And when You intend to try Your creation, take me to Yourself without subjecting me to that trial. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught me a comprehensive supplication for all my needs. He said: 'O Allah, I ask You for the ability to do good deeds, to avoid evil deeds, and to love the poor. I ask You for Your forgiveness and Your mercy. And when You intend to try Your creation with a trial, take me to Yourself without subjecting me to it. I ask You for Your love, the love of those who love You, and the love of the deeds that bring me closer to Your love.' (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 5093)
