Dua for Fostering Brotherhood and Unity

Good Character
Sahih HadithSunan Abi Dawud 907

O Allah, bring our hearts together, mend the discord between us, guide us to the paths of peace, deliver us from darkness to the light, keep us away from all lewdness, whether apparent or hidden, and bless our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring. Turn to us in forgiveness, for You are the Ever-Turning, the Most Merciful.

Allahumma allif bayna quloobina, wa aslih dhata baynina, wahdina subulas-salam, wa najjina minadh-dhulumati ilan-nur, wa jannibnal-fawashima ma dhahara minha wa ma batana, wa barik lana fi asma'ina, wa absarina, wa quloobina, wa azwajina, wa dhurriyyatina, wa tub 'alayna, innaka antat-Tawwabur-Raheem.

Source & Authentication

Narrated by Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "There is no servant whom Allah has put in charge of some affairs of His servants and he dies while he is deceitful towards them, but Allah will forbid Paradise for him." Then he said: "Allahumma allif bayna quloobina, wa aslih dhata baynina, wahdina subulas-salam, wa najjina minadh-dhulumati ilan-nur, wa jannibnal-fawashima ma dhahara minha wa ma batana, wa barik lana fi asma'ina, wa absarina, wa quloobina, wa azwajina, wa dhurriyyatina, wa tub 'alayna, innaka antat-Tawwabur-Raheem. (O Allah, bring our hearts together, and mend the covenant between us, and guide us to the paths of peace, and deliver us from darkness to the light, and keep us away from lewdness, what is apparent of it and what is hidden, and bless for us our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our wives and our offspring, and turn to us, indeed You are the Ever-Turning, the Merciful)."
