Source & Authentication

The hadith narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) states that the prayer most frequently offered by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was: 'O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.' I asked him: 'O Messenger of Allah, why do you offer this prayer so often?' He replied: 'No son of Adam is safe in his religion, and the hearts are between the fingers of the Most Merciful. He turns them whichever way He wills.'
