O Allah, I ask You for Your forgiveness and Your well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and secure me from what frightens me. O Allah, protect me from in front of me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me. And I seek refuge in Your magnificence from being destroyed from beneath me.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'afwaka wa 'afiyataka fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa aamin row'ati. Allahumma-hfadni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi wa 'an yameeni wa 'an shimalee wa min fawqee, wa a'udhu bi'adhmati-ka an ughtala min tahtee.
When to Read
This is the ultimate dua to make on Laylatul Qadr, especially after the famous hadith where Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked the Prophet ﷺ what to say. While it's a comprehensive supplication for all times, its significance is amplified during Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree, when our deeds are raised and prayers are powerfully answered. Imagine yourself in the last ten nights of Ramadan, dedicating your worship, and making this plea to your Creator.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a heartfelt focus on seeking Allah's forgiveness and protection. Raise your hands as you would in any other supplication. Reflect on each part of the dua: seeking ultimate forgiveness ('afw) and well-being ('afiyah) that encompasses your entire existence, both religious and worldly. Feel the vulnerability as you ask Allah to shield you from all directions and to protect you from hidden harms. Make it a deeply personal conversation with your Lord.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates a complete request for a life blessed with divine forgiveness and comprehensive well-being. It covers spiritual purity, worldly stability, protection for loved ones and possessions, and security from all forms of harm. Making this dua during Laylatul Qadr aligns with the Prophet's ﷺ guidance and the immense blessings of that night, where sincere supplications are often accepted.

He ﷺ said: 'Say: Allahumma inni as'aluka 'afwaka wa 'afiyataka fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali.
