اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is beneficial, provision that is good and pure, and deeds that are accepted.
*Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan*
When to Read
This beautiful dua is specifically recommended by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to be recited after the Fajr (dawn) prayer. It's a powerful way to start your day, seeking blessings and acceptance from Allah for your efforts and sustenance.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere intention and a hopeful heart after finishing the obligatory Fajr prayer. Turn your attention to Allah, acknowledging His dominion and power to grant what you ask. It’s recommended to raise your hands slightly when making dua, though it's not a strict condition for this particular supplication.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates seeking the three pillars of a blessed life: beneficial knowledge that guides us, pure and lawful provision that sustains us, and accepted deeds that bring us closer to Allah. By asking for these, we're essentially asking Allah to remove any obstacles, including our own sins, that might be hindering these blessings from reaching us. It shows a holistic approach to seeking barakah (blessings) in our lives.
