O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your judgement on me is just. I ask You by every name You have named Yourself with, or revealed to anyone You created, or sent down in Your Book, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my grief, and the banisher of my worries. And but I ask You to forgive me my wrongs against Your servants.
Allahumma inni 'abdika, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukkumuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitābika, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm il-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi, wa lakin as'aluka an taghfira li mathalima li 'ibādika.
