أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ.

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.

When to Read

This powerful dua is for moments when you feel a sense of unease, discomfort, or notice negative shifts in yourself or your circumstances, especially when you suspect the cause might be the envious gaze of someone close, even within your own family. It's particularly relevant when you've received blessings – perhaps a new job, a child, or even good health – and find yourself or loved ones facing unexplained difficulties. Recite it consistently in the morning and evening, and whenever you feel that subtle sting of envy's effect.

How to Read

Recite this dua three times each morning and evening. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that whoever says this three times in the morning will be protected until the evening, and whoever says it three times in the evening will be protected until the morning. Ensure you recite it with sincere belief and focus, visualizing Allah's protection enveloping you. You can also recite it directly upon yourself, your children, or your property if you perceive an immediate threat from the evil eye.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua is a shield granted by Allah. By seeking refuge in His perfect words, you are invoking His ultimate power to ward off all creation's evil, including the subtle and often unseen harm caused by envy. It's a direct application of the Sunnah for safeguarding yourself and your blessings, fostering peace of mind and trust in Allah's plan.

Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever says: 'A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaqa (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created)' - three times - then nothing will harm him.' It was narrated from him that he said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge in Allah from the Jinn and the evil eye, until the Mu'awwidhat (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas) were revealed.
