بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ العَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Bismillāhilladhī lā yaḍurru ma‘asmihi shay’un fīl-arḍi wa lā fis-samā’i wa Huwas-Samī‘ul-‘Alīm.

Narrated by Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'He who says: *Bismillāhilladhī lā yaḍurru ma‘asmihi shay’un fīl-arḍi wa lā fis-samā’i wa Huwas-Samī‘ul-‘Alīm* (In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing) - three times, will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until morning comes. And whoever says it when morning comes, will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until evening comes.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5087, Sahih al-Bukhari 7404, Sunan Ibn Majah 3867)
