Seeking Allah's Help for Patience During Trials at Evening

Evening Adhkar
Sahih HadithSahih al-Bukhari 5074

O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and calm my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your magnificence lest I be consumed from beneath me.

Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Allahumma-hfadni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi, wa 'an yomini wa 'an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa a'udhu bi-'adhamatika an ughtala min tahti.

Source & Authentication

Narrated Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to teach us the Tashahhud as he taught us the Qur'an, saying: 'All compliments, prayers and pure deeds are for Allah. To you be peace, O Prophet, and Allah's mercy and blessings. Compliments be for us and for Allah's righteous slaves. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. (Then recite this dua): Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Allahumma-hfadni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi, wa 'an yomini wa 'an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa a'udhu bi-'adhamatika an ughtala min tahti. (O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and calm my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your magnificence lest I be consumed from beneath me.)' And Abdullah used to say: 'This is a correct narration from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ).'
