حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god but He. I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.

Hasbiyallahu la ilaha illa huwa, 'alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa Rabbul 'arshil 'adheem.

When to Read

This powerful statement is recommended to be recited in the morning and evening. It's particularly comforting when facing worries, anxieties, or overwhelming situations. Reciting it consistently in these times helps to solidify our reliance on Allah, reminding us that He alone is enough to handle all our affairs.

How to Read

This supplication should be recited with sincere conviction and a heart full of trust in Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to say it seven times in the morning and seven times in the evening. Let it be a conscious act of turning to Allah, reflecting on His power and sufficiency.

Virtues & Benefits

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said regarding this dua: 'Whoever says this in the morning, Allah will suffice him from whatever worries him throughout the day. And whoever says it in the evening, Allah will suffice him from whatever worries him throughout the night.' (Sunan Abu Dawud 5082). This means reciting it grants us divine protection and peace of mind, knowing that Allah is our ultimate protector and provider.

Narrated Abu Ad-Darda: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever says in the morning: "Hasbiyallahu la ilaha illa huwa, 'alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa Rabbul 'arshil 'adheem." (Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god but He. I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne), Allah will suffice him from whatever worries him throughout the day.' He repeated this three times. And whoever says it in the evening, Allah will suffice him from whatever worries him throughout the night. He repeated this three times. (Sunan Abu Dawud 5082).
