Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "He who says 'Bismillah alladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-samee'ul-aleem' three times each morning and evening, will not be afflicted by sudden calamity." Uthman said: "So it was with me, and I said it one night, and a scorpion stung me, and I did not feel it until I got up to sleep.
