Virtues & Benefits
This beautiful dua offers comprehensive protection. By invoking Allah's name, the one with whom nothing can cause harm, we seek His safeguard against physical, spiritual, and social ills. Backbiting (Gheebah) and gossip are severe sins in Islam, often leading to enmity and division. This supplication acts as a spiritual antidote, purifying our intentions and protecting us from being drawn into or becoming victims of such destructive speech. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua as a means of being protected throughout the night until morning, and this protection extends to all kinds of harm, including those that attack our reputation and relationships.
