اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.
When to Read
This supplication is specifically recommended to be recited in the morning, but its essence of seeking beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds is valuable at any time. For an evening context, we can reflect on the day's actions and seek Allah's acceptance and guidance for the coming day. Many scholars also recommend reciting the morning adhkar (which includes this dua) in the evening as well, if one misses it in the morning.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, focusing on the meaning of each phrase. Recognize that true honor and respect come from Allah, and are best earned through seeking knowledge that benefits, earning wealth through permissible means, and performing deeds that are accepted by Him. Raise your hands slightly when making this dua, as is a recommended etiquette for supplication.
Virtues & Benefits
This powerful dua encompasses three fundamental aspects of a fulfilling life: beneficial knowledge that guides and enlighters, pure and lawful provision that sustains, and deeds that are accepted by Allah, leading to His pleasure and reward. Seeking these things from Allah is the surest path to inner peace, contentment, and ultimately, the honor and respect that truly matters – that of being close to our Creator and serving His creation.

Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say in the morning: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.' (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.)
