Dua for Peace and Tranquility When Entering Home

Entering Home
Hasan HadithSunan Abi Dawud 5096

In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we depend. O Allah, I ask of You the best of entrance and the best of exit. In the name of Allah are the inhabitants of the house. In the name of Allah, our Lord. We depend on Allah.

Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'alallahi Rabbina tawakkalna. Allahumma inni as'aluka khayral madkhali wa khayral makhraji, bismillahi ashabul bayti, bismillahi Rabbina, tawakkalna 'alallah.

It cultivates a sense of reliance on Allah, fostering peace of mind and tranquility, knowing that He is your protector and sustainer.

Source & Authentication

Narrated by Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to teach them to say when they entered their homes: 'Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'alallahi Rabbina tawakkalna. Allahumma inni as'aluka khayral madkhali wa khayral makhraji, bismillahi ashabul bayti, bismillahi Rabbina, tawakkalna 'alallah.' (In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we depend. O Allah, I ask of You the best of entrance and the best of exit. In the name of Allah are the inhabitants of the house. In the name of Allah, our Lord. We depend on Allah.)
