Narrated by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When a man says: Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'alallahi Rabbina tawakkalna (In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and in Allah, our Lord, we trust), then Shaytan departs saying: I shall not spend the night in your house nor eat your food.' And when he says: Bismillahi akalna, wa bismillahi ishribna, wa bismillahi tawakkalna (In the name of Allah we eat, and in the name of Allah we drink, and in Allah we trust), then Shaytan departs saying: I shall not spend the night in your house nor eat your food nor drink your drink.' (This narration is graded Hasan by many scholars, found in Sunan Abi Dawud 3764 and others.)
