Entering Home
Hasan HadithSunan Abi Dawud 5098

In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we exit, and in Allah, our Lord, we place our trust. O Allah, I ask You for the best of entry and the best of exit, and I ask You for abundant provision, and I ask You to bless me in what You have provided for me, and I seek refuge in You from the hardship of livelihood and the evil of life and death.

Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Allahi Rabbina tawakkalna. Allahumma inni as'aluka khairal madkhali, wa khairal makhraji, wa as'aluka rizqan wasi'an, wa as'aluka an tubarika li fima razaqtani, wa a'udhu bika min diqil ma'eeshati wa su'il hayati wal mamati.

Source & Authentication

Narrated by Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When a man says upon entering his home: Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Allahi Rabbina tawakkalna. O Allah, I ask You for the best of entry and the best of exit, and I ask You for abundant provision, and I ask You to bless me in what You have provided for me, and I seek refuge in You from the hardship of livelihood and the evil of life and death. And when he eats, let him say: Bismillahi wa 'ala barakatillah (In the name of Allah and upon the blessings of Allah). And when he drinks, let him say: Bismillahi wa 'ala barakatillah. And when he sleeps, let him say: Bismillahi wa 'ala janbi Allahi (In the name of Allah and upon the side of Allah).' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5098, graded Hasan).
