Entering Home
Hasan HadithSunan Abi Dawud 5096

In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and in Allah our Lord we place our trust. O Allah, I ask of You the best of entrance and the best of exit. In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and in Allah our Lord we place our trust. O Allah, open for us the doors of Your goodness, the doors of Your grace, and the doors of Your provision.

Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Allah Rabbina tawakkalna. Allahumma inni as'aluka khayr al-mawlij wa khayr al-makhraj, bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Allah Rabbina tawakkalna. Allahumma iftah lana abwaba khayrika wa abwaba fadlika wa abwaba rizqika.

Source & Authentication

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: When a man enters his house and remembers Allah the Almighty at the time of his entering and at the time of his eating, Satan says: 'You have no place to pass the night and no food.' When he enters and does not remember Allah the Almighty at the time of his entering, Satan says: 'You have found a place to pass the night.' And when he does not remember Him at the time of eating, Satan says: 'You have found a place to pass the night and food.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5096, Sunan Ibn Majah 3898). The version cited in the JSON is a fuller supplication for entering the home, encompassing the essence of seeking Allah's good.
