بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا
In Allah's name we enter, and in Allah's name we leave, and in our Lord we put our trust.
Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Rabbina tawakkalna.

It’s not just about physical entry, but a spiritual acknowledgment of belonging and responsibility.
How to Read
Recite this dua as you step across the threshold of your home. Begin with the intention of seeking Allah's protection and guidance for yourself and your family. It’s a simple yet profound habit that can transform your home into a place of constant remembrance of Allah (dhikr).
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates reliance on Allah (tawakkul) and acknowledges His name at the beginning and end of an action. By invoking Allah's name, we seek His protection and bar Shaytan from entering the home with us, as the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When a man enters his house and mentions Allah's name at the time of entering and at the time of eating, Satan says: 'You have no place to spend the night and no food.' When he enters without mentioning Allah's name, Satan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night.' And when he does not mention Allah's name at the time of eating, Satan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night and food.' (Sahih Muslim 2018). This practice helps maintain the sanctity of the home and fosters a connection to Allah within the family.
